Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during my first session?

After the initial free consultation, our first session will be a 75-minute intake appointment. We’ll use this time to get to know each other better. I'll ask you some questions about your background, your current situation, and what you're hoping to achieve through therapy. I welcome any questions you may have at *any* time in the therapy process. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to share as much or as little as feels comfortable to you. We'll also discuss what to expect from future sessions and set some initial goals together. My intention is to ensure you feel heard, supported, and confident that we're on the right path for your journey.

How often will we meet? How long do sessions last?

I find that clients see the best results when they commit to weekly 50-minute sessions for at least two months. After that, we can discuss what frequency feels best to meet your goals. I love tailoring our sessions to your particular needs. Find it difficult to get in touch with deeper emotions? Longer sessions of 90-minutes or more may be for you! Have difficulty remembering your intentions between weekly sessions? Meeting twice a week can help you stay on track. Want to supercharge your progress by unlocking additional neuroplasticity? An 8-week ketamine-assisted psychotherapy program may be your ideal fit.

Where are you located?

I am located in Florida and work with clients who are located in Florida and Washington state. All sessions are held via secure video calls.

How does online therapy work?

Online therapy offers the same level of support as in-person sessions, but with the added convenience of meeting from the comfort of your own space. You will receive a unique video link for each session to connect through a secure video platform. Just like in traditional therapy, you’ll be able to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe, confidential environment. Whether you’re at home, work, or another private location, online therapy makes it easy to access the help you need without the hassle of travel.

How much does therapy cost?

My fee is $500 for a 50-minute session. Many of my clients pursue out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance, which can cover a significant portion of the session fee. Working in alignment with my own values means offering sliding scale fees to make therapy accessible to more folks. At any given time, 20-50% of my clients receive a significantly discounted rate. New sliding scale spots are available to support the community in light of current events. Separate pricing details are available for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP).

Do you accept insurance?

I help clients receive out-of-network benefits by providing an itemized receipt called a superbill. Superbills can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement. I do not accept insurance directly. I recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card to learn more about your deductible and out-of-network reimbursement rate.
